2018 Pro Bowl: Steelers place NFL-high eight players, including Ryan Shazier

The NFL announced the rosters for the 2018 Pro Bowl on Tuesday night, and the Pittsburgh Steelers placed the most players in the annual all-star game.

Eight Steelers have been selected, including linebacker Ryan Shazier, who suffered a scary, season-ending spinal injury against earlier this month.

Shazier’s teammates who were selected: Antonio Brown, Ben Roethlisberger, Le’Veon Bell, Chris Boswell, and offensive linemen Alejandro Villanueva, David DeCastro and Maurkice Pouncey.

Among NFC teams, the New Orleans Saints and Philadelphia Eagles each had six players chosen.

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady will be the AFC starter; this is his 13th Pro Bowl nod, one behind the record currently held by Tony Gonzalez, Peyton Manning, Bruce Matthews and Merlin Olsen. Arizona receiver Larry Fitzgerald was selected for the 11th time, as was New Orleans quarterback Drew Brees.

On the opposite end of the experience spectrum, there were four rookies chosen: Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt, Cardinals special teamer Budda Baker, and Alvin Kamara and Marshon Lattimore, both from the Saints.

The Pro Bowl will be played Jan. 28, 2018 at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Fla.
