2 49ers injuries crop up vs. Vikings

A couple 49ers injuries popped up in their lead up to and during Saturday’s preseason game vs. the Vikings.

Cornerback Ambry Thomas hurt his knee and didn’t suit up for Saturday’s game per ESPN’s Nick Wagoner. He wasn’t on the list of players not playing, but he got injured during Thursday’s joint practice with Minnesota. The severity of that ailment is unknown. It’s not a surprise San Francisco isn’t pushing him into action with another preseason game just five days away.

Then during the game the club lost wide receiver Austin Mack to a hamstring injury. Hamstring issues have plagued the club on both sides of the ball over the last couple weeks of training camp.
