Here are 12 Columbus-area high school gymnasts to watch in 2023-24 season
Three athletes from 2023 state runner-up Olentangy Berlin, three from Dublin Jerome and two from Olentangy Orange headline our 12 central Ohio gymnasts to watch this winter.
Gillian Beilstein, Olentangy Orange
The senior concluded her 2022-23 season by finishing 19th on the balance beam (9.05) at state. She was 16th in the all-around (35.075) at district and fifth in the all-around (34.225) in the OCC-Central meet.
Ella Cooper, Dublin Jerome
The senior’s postseason was highlighted by finishing sixth on floor exercise (9.175) at district. She finished 34th in the event (8.75) at state, 14th in the all-around (35.4) at district and seventh in the all-around (34.05) in the OCC-Cardinal meet.
Alexandra Downing, Olentangy Berlin
The senior helped lead the Bears to their second-place finish at state, tying for 16th in the all-around (36.425). She placed second in the all-around (37.2) at district and was fourth in the all-around (35.4) in the OCC-Cardinal meet.

Tia Estrada, Olentangy Berlin
The junior capped her sophomore season by tying for 16th in the all-around (36.425) at state. She was sixth in the all-around (36.375) at district and third in the all-around (36.2) in the OCC-Cardinal meet.
Jade Gerhard, Olentangy Orange
The senior capped last season by tying for 10th on vault (9.525) and tying for 11th on uneven bars (9.125) at state. She won the all-around (36.625) in the OCC-Central meet and was 12th in the all-around (35.575) at district.
Lilly Gibbs, Hilliard Bradley
The senior represented the Jaguars at state last season, finishing 36th in the all-around (32.1). She earned the state berth by placing third in the all-around (36.95) at district. She finished second in the all-around (36.375) in the OCC-Central meet, where she also won floor (9.275).
Gretchen Goldhardt, Olentangy Liberty
The junior tied for ninth on beam (9.05) and finished 29th in the all-around (34.175) at district. She was seventh in the all-around (33.0) in the OCC-Buckeye meet.
Molly Hayes, Dublin Jerome
The junior helped lead Jerome to a second-place finish in the OCC-Cardinal meet, placing fifth in the all-around (35.125). She was 17th in the all-around (35.025) at district and 29th on vault (9.05) at state.
Abby Killilea, Hilliard Darby
The senior led the Panthers last season, finishing 25th in the all-around (35.4) at state. She finished seventh in the all-around (36.2) at district.
Carly McKenzie, Dublin Scioto
Competing in her first state meet, McKenzie finished 29th on beam (8.775). The sophomore won the all-around (34.75) and bars (8.6) in the OCC-Buckeye meet and tied for 10th in the all-around (35.675) at district.
Konyinsola Sofowora, Dublin Jerome
The junior led the Celtics at state, finishing 23rd in the all-around (35.65). She was eighth in the all-around (35.925) at district and sixth in the all-around (34.925) in the OCC-Cardinal meet.
Tayten Swain, Olentangy Berlin
The sophomore was the top central Ohio performer at state last season, finishing second in the all-around (38.275) and winning floor (9.725). She won the all-around (38.0) at district and finished second in the all-around (36.625) in the OCC-Cardinal meet.
