Magnitude 6.2 Earthquake Hits New Zealand

Magnitude 6.5 quake hits New Zealand

Transportation was disrupted and homes were damaged on August 16 as New Zealand was hit by a magnitude 6.5 earthquake. While no serious injuries have been reported, it has caused serious headaches for home owners, some of which had chimneys and roofs collapse, as well as office workers who were trapped in elevators, or unable to take their usual transit home.
