A look at the Toronto Blue Jays as they prepare for the 2013 baseball season.
Betty: This was a debate not a reality show. showing Trump is NOT presidential material. He appeared inept when it comes to answering questions and discusssing the issues He played ther blame game all night. Lester Holt was fair and unbias. Trump likes to control but Lester did not let him.He kept interrupting Hillary when she spoke but she listened and waited for him to finish when he spoke, Trump just got fact checked and some of you Trumpettes didn't like it. Trump is always calling Hillary a liar. But Trump is the liar because he lied about the war and use Hannity as a source to confirm it. That is the thing about lying you have to keep changing your story as Trump does
At the center position, the Sixers have the athletic and defensive minded Nerlens Noel, the offensive-minded Jahlil Okafor, and the untested player who may be the best of the group in Joel Embiid. Nerlens Noel called the situation out as “silly” speaking to the Philadelphia Inquirer‘s Keith Pompey.
Perhaps no one in golf has ever come close to matching Arnold Palmer's influence on the modern game, with the possible exception of Jack Nicklaus, his rival and close confidante for many years. Nicklaus posted a heartfelt message to Twitter on Sunday night expressing his shock and sadness at the passing of his longtime friend. Maybe his body did, but I know Arnold's will and spirit did not." Nicklaus regretted that he hadn't had another chance to speak to his old friend, whom he called a legend, an icon, and a pioneer. Arnold always had my back, and I had his.
Nicole Williams and Larry English are set to tie the knot after the 30-year-old NFL player popped the question to his longtime girlfriend on the season finale of WAGS. PEOPLE has the exclusive clip from the moment English took a knee to ask Williams for her hand in marriage. When English traveled to Thailand to surprise Williams, his romantic gesture nearly backfired after she freaked out that she didn't know his whereabouts.
The New York Jets need Ryan Fitzpatrick to play like he did in Week 2 when he threw for 374 yards as opposed to how he played on Sunday when he threw six interceptions in a 24-3 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
The head coach - who was fired by the school on Sunday - joined the "The Dan Patrick Show" to talk about the end of his run in Baton Rouge after more than 11 seasons.
Odell Beckham Jr. and Josh Norman battle last December (AP) It makes a little more sense now why New York Giants receiver Odell Beckham Jr. said he would walk away if things got a little too intense between he and Washington cornerback Josh Norman on
It may be thanks to Vice President Joe Biden that we're all aboard the Wentz Wagon. Biden may have coined the term and Barack Obama made it big. Now, Biden has tweeted at Wentz after the Eagles' rookie led the Birds to a 3-0 start. Philadelphia is a tad giddy. Biden's tweet read: You may have missed it, but when Biden was at the Eagles' week 1 game against the Browns, the Veep told head coach Doug Pederson he'd like to suit up and play. "I wish I was good enough to be out there in a different role," Biden said. "You want to put some pads on?" Pederson asks. "I can go get some." "I did that through college," Biden responds. "I dreamed about it." Biden comes in about 50 seconds into the below video.
Yoenis Cespedes helped to hang a Mets jersey with Jose Fernandez's name and number (16) in the Mets dugout as a tribute to his Cuban countryman. Fernandez, 24, was killed in a boating accident early Sunday. The Mets also held a moment of silence for Fernandez before the national anthem. "Jeff Wilpon came to me and Asdrubal Cabrera with the idea, he had the jersey made," Cespedes told reporters after the game. "He came and spoke to us in the trainer's room before the game and I decided that I wanted to be the one to go out there and put it up, just to let everyone know how much this loss meant to us. ... I can tell you that we're going to take the jersey with us and we'll be putting it up again."
Spurs Coach Gregg Popovich is known as being extremely cerebral and thoughtful, and at the team's media Monday, he offered his thoughts on the national anthem protests inspired by San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick. His comments were so insightful that a reporter asked him if he'd consider running for president after he spoke on the social injustices occurring in the United States. Below is a transcription of Pop's words: What are your thoughts on what's going on in the country? "I think it's really dangerous to answer such important questions that have confounded so many people for hundreds of years, to ask me to give you my solutions, as if I had any, in 30 seconds. So if you
The Cleveland Indians came into the season with a tough task: Unseat the defending World Series champion Kansas City Royals in the American League Central. On Monday, they did just that. With their 7-4 win over the Detroit Tigers, the Cleveland Indians clinched the AL Central for the first time since 2007. A slow April may have been cause for concern early, but Cleveland eventually soared. The team went just 10-11 during the season’s first month, but then never posted a sub-.500 month the rest of the way.
Arnold Palmer is gone, but he will "never pass from the game," Lee Trevino said when reached by phone Sunday night just hours after news of Palmer’s death. "We will always close our eyes and see him and his charismatic style and the impact he had on golf," Trevino said. "It didn’t matter if you were white collar, blue collar, no collar, Arnold Palmer was your man. Trevino recalled the last time Palmer paid him a visit at the Greenbrier in West Virginia, where Trevino serves as honorary professional and spends much of his summers.
A couple hundred demonstrators chanted and marched through Charlotte on Sunday, as protests persisted after the release of two videos showing the fatal shooting of a black man by police officers in North Carolina's largest city. Angry protesters have filled the streets of Charlotte every day since the Tuesday killing of Keith Scott, 43, whom police said was armed when officers shot him. Crowds were smaller on Sunday than earlier in the week, but protesters said they would continue until police, who on Saturday released portions of videos showing Scott's death, published all the footage.
“They gave me a shot to win,’’ Kenseth said of his team, “and I didn’t hang on for it.’’ The final moment, though, actually began a few laps earlier. As the cars circled New Hampshire Motor Speedway behind the pace car, Kenseth’s team told him that there had been complaints about the last restart. He asked who complained. His team told him NASCAR, although officials ruled the restart was legal. “They made it sound like I slowed down the last time,’’ Kenseth said after finishing second to Kevin Harvick. “But in my opinion the leader is always supposed to have the advantage. He’s the leader; he earned that advantage. They said I slowed down a little bit last time, which I’ve got to re-watch it.
Bryce Harper left Sunday afternoon's game between his Washington Nationals and the Pittsburgh Pirates with an apparent left hand injury. What led to Harper's hurt hand also led to the benches clearing at PNC Park.
Robin Lehner is a big goalie, and barring possible language barrier issues, sure seems to have a pretty big personality. That at least seems to be the case with the Buffalo Sabres’ top guy, who provided the Buffalo News’ John Vogl with a great quote: “There’s a lot of pressure on me, and that’s fine. … I know I’m a good goaltender,” Lehner said. Hey now. As much as the Sabres feel like a work in progress, acquiring Lehner was one of GM Tim Murray’s boldest moves. Murray was able to observe Lehner in Ottawa, and despite some struggles, the big Swede (6-foot-5, 240 lbs.) was sneaky-good in 2015-16. Twenty-one games serves as a limited sample size, yet a .924 save percentage seems quite promising.
Roy Nelson was involved in a controversy on Saturday night at UFC Brasilia when he gave referee John McCarthy a slight push kick for the late stoppage against Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva. “Big Country” did apologize for it afterwards, but also said he wouldn’t take it back. "I didn't want to hurt ‘Bigfoot' more than I had to,” Nelson said during the post-fight press conference. “And I got taken by the moment, because it's like I'm beating the sh*t out of somebody and you're like, dude, enough is enough. And for me, it hurt my feelings. And I apologize to Big John, but I wouldn't take it back. It just hurt me, that I've got to keep on hitting a guy that doesn't need to be hit." Laying a hand on a
At Ottawa Senators camp, defenseman Patrick Sieloff – who was acquired in the offseason for Alex Chiasson – made contact with the head of Clarke MacArthur in a play along the boards. MacArthur immediately went to the ice clutching his head. Bobby Ryan, who is not known for being much of a fighter, went directly after Sieloff.
The mayor of Charlotte has lifted the curfew on the city after days of protests over the killing of a black man by police. There have been protests every day since 43-year-old Keith Lamont Scott was shot to death by Charlotte police on Tuesday. A midnight to 6 a.m. curfew has been in effect since Thursday after the protests turned violent, and National Guardsmen have been stationed throughout downtown each night.
When the Los Angeles Dodgers came into Sunday with a chance to clinch the National League West during Vin Scully’s final home game, it seemed as though the stage was set for a storybook ending. The Dodgers did not disappoint, winning the game and clinching the division on a dramatic walk-off home run in the 10th inning. With that, Vin Scully left the the world of baseball with yet another legendary highlight.
Ravens wideout Steve Smith Sr. shot back at Jalen Ramsey on Sunday night after the Jaguars cornerback called him an “old man” following Baltimore’s 19–17 win.
The 12th and final member of the U.S. Ryder Cup team is Ryan Moore, as announced Sunday night on Sunday Night Football by broadcaster Mike Tirico. Moore finished second at the Tour Championship Sunday, losing a four-hole playoff to Rory McIlroy at East Lake. "Ryan fits so well with what we have in place," said Captain Davis Love.
Davon Godchaux (57) is a three-year starter at defensive tackle for LSU. LSU defensive tackle Davon Godchaux has been indefinitely suspended following a Monday morning arrest. According to multiple reports, Godchaux was charged with false imprisonment and domestic abuse battery/child endangerment following an alleged incident with his girlfriend, who was also arrested because of conflicting stories.
At the same time, expect all those guys to back Collin Kaepernick and others who have done these protests. The latest example came from the Golden State Warriors media day and Draymond Green. Here is what he said in a passionate talk about the protests, via Anthony Slater of the San Jose Mercury News.
At age 30, Wayne Rooney is no longer good enough to play for Manchester United in the Premier League. Frankly, Rooney is a captain without a position on United because he is simply not good enough to play anywhere on the park at this point in his career. With Rooney left out of the starting lineup, Juan Mata got to play in his natural No. 10 role for the first time this season.
The Dallas Stars had the best offense in the NHL last season, but only the 19th-best goals-against. It was a combination that made them arguably the most exciting team to watch, but also one that ended with a second-round defeat to the St. Louis Blues. In the Stars’ four losses to the Blues, they surrendered 20 goals combined. When it was over, much of the blame was assigned to their two goalies, and by extension to their general manager. Just don’t expect the Stars to dramatically change their ways in 2016-17. They are who they are, and they don’t want to be anything else. “Everybody is raving about Team North America (at the World Cup), and that’s the way we play hockey,” GM Jim Nill said,
