Trammell's percentage jumped to 36.8 last year, putting him closer to contention, and he’ll probably get about the same this season. He might run out of time with the BBWAA, but there’s always a veterans committee. Trammell compares highly favorably with other shortstops in the Hall of Fame. He's about as good as Derek Jeter, who won’t have to wait 10 seconds to get into Cooperstown when the time comes.
