World Series of Fighting 1 Weigh-in Results; Arlovski vs. Cole Set for Main Event

The inaugural MMA World Series of Fighting weigh-ins took place Friday afternoon at PH Live in Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas.

The main eventers, former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski and Devin Cole, as heavyweights, had little trouble making weight. Arlovski tipped the scale at 247 pounds, while Cole weighed in at 249.

There were two fighters that didn’t make weight, however, and will have to try and cut the slack and weigh-in again.

Dustin Jacoby, who is slated to meet Dave Branch in a middleweight bout, tipped the scale at 186.5 pounds. So he needs to drop just half a pound to make the fight official.

Travis Bartlett, who is kickboxing transplant Tyrone Spong’s first MMA opponent, may have a tougher go of it. He weighed 208 pounds for the light heavyweight match-up, meaning he has to lose two pounds to make it down to the 206-pound limit for their fight.

World Series of Fighting 1: Arlovski vs. Cole takes place on Saturday night at Planet Hollywood. The main card airs live on NBC Sports Network at 10:30 p.m. ET/7:30 p.m. PT, while the first three preliminary bouts stream live at 7:30 p.m. ET/4:30 p.m. PT on MMAWeekly.com.
