Vikings tight end Kyle Rudolph plays hockey in Pro Bowl bid (Video)

Minnesota is, as anyone in Minnesota will no doubt remind you, THE STATE OF HOCKEY.

The Minnesota Wild play there. Five NCAA Div. I college teams play there, and there are hundreds of high-school programs. We assume most babies are born with sticks in hand (hopefully through C-section, because ouch).

One can only assume that natural proclivity for pucks extends to other athletes in the state, so it’s no surprise to see Minnesota Vikings tight end Kyle Rudolph exhibiting hockey skills in a new video with Minnesota Wild forward Jason Zucker.

OK, maybe not skating skill. But hey, that shot!

Rudolph is attempting to earn votes for the 2017 Pro Bowl in Orlando, Florida (and earn more interest for Go Pro, which is behind the stunt). He’s also scheduled to play hoops with the Minnesota Timberwolves’ Karl-Anthony Towns and play ball with the Minnesota Twins’ Trevor Plouffe. But neither of them can confirm what a hockey player thinks about in the penalty box like Zucker did.

Can’t wait for that awkward moment when celebrity puckhead Sam Bradford walks over to Rudolph to talk about Chris Tanev’s Corsi his tight end says ‘dude, it was a commercial. Shouldn’t you be obsessively comparing your numbers to those of Carson Wentz right now…?’
