Vikings rookie walks three miles to camp each day

Moritz Boehringer is German, but apparently he’s never heard of über.

The Vikings rookie has been walking three miles to the Minnesota training camp each morning, and three miles home at night.

Boehringer doesn’t own a car and claims that he’d rather save money as his rookie contract guarantees a mere $150,000.

The wide receiver had only played football abroad in German leagues, but caught the eye of the Vikings when he ran a 4.4 at his pro day. In April, he became the first European player (that had never played college football) to be drafted.

Perhaps Alfred Morris can sell Boehringer his 1991 Mazda.
