Vikings Pick Up 41-28 Win Over Falcons
Matt Asiata led the way to a sound victory for the Vikings over the Falcons, 41-28, at home.
Teddy Bridgewater had a respectable 19 of 30 performance with 317 yards passing, one touchdown (0 pass, 1 rush) and no interceptions. On the Falcons side, Matt Ryan went 25 for 41 with 298 yards passing, three touchdowns and two picks.
Asiata was a focal point for the Vikings, running at will on the Falcons for 78 yards on 20 carries with three touchdowns in addition to three receptions for 22 yards. Jarius Wright was a highlight, pulling in eight balls for 132 yards.
The Minnesota defense gave up 123 yards rushing and 298 passing. They were able to bring down Ryan for one sack.
Falcons wide receiver Devin Hester totaled 70 receiving yards and one touchdown. Next to Ryan, he was the top performer for Atlanta. Wide receiver Roddy White also gave a strong effort with 73 receiving yards and one touchdown.
Next week, the Vikings travel to Green Bay to face the Packers (2-2) while the Falcons go to East Rutherford to play the Giants (2-2).
