UFC Fight Night 30 Official Weigh-in Results: Lyoto Machida Hits the Mark
The 24 fighters participating on the UFC Fight Night 30: Machida vs. Munoz fight card on Saturday weighed in at Manchester Central in Manchester, England, on Friday.
Saturday’s main event marks Lyoto Machida’s first fight in the Octagon at middleweight. He’s always been considered one of the smaller light heavyweight fighters, and it appears he had little issue making the cut in his new class, hitting the mark dead on.
His opponent, Mark Munoz, a former light heavyweight as well, has competed for the majority of his UFC career at middleweight, so had no trouble making weight.
John Lineker, who stepped on the scale in the buff, weighed two pounds over the 126-pound limit for his flyweight fight with Phil Harris. He was given one hour to lose the weight or be fined. Harris hit the mark at 125 pounds.
