UFC 177: Dillashaw vs. Soto Attendance and Gate Figures from Sacramento Pay-Per-View

The Ultimate Fighting Championship released the attendance and live gate figures for UFC 177: Dillashaw vs. Soto following Saturday's pay-per-view event in Sacramento, Calif.

UFC president Dana White revealed that 11,100 spectators attended the event at the Sleep Train Arena to see bantamweight champion T.J. Dillashaw defend his belt against late replacement Joe Soto in the main event, garnering $700,000 in gate revenue.

Dillashaw was originally set to rematch former titleholder Renan Barao, but Barao passed out while cutting weight before the weigh-ins and was removed from the title fight. Soto, who was scheduled to face Anthony Birchak on the preliminary card, replaced Barao. Birchak was dropped from the fight card.

Dillashaw outworked Soto throughout the bout, but Soto landed effective counter strikes. Early in the fifth and final round, Dillashaw landed a right high kick that landed flush on the side of Soto’s head. Soto wobbled and dropped to the canvas. Dillashaw finished with a couple of well-placed left hands.

Tony Ferguson edged out Danny Castillo in the co-main event by split decision, while Bethe Correia finished Shayna Baszler strengthening her argument for a shot at women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey.
