The Denver Broncos are one of the NFL’s most star-studded teams on both offense and defense, hence that Super Bowl 50 victory, of course.

Hard Knocks: Rams football is a business

After being criminally underrated for all of 2015 until they defeated the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl 50, the league was put on notice how incredible this team is. Von Miller won Super Bowl MVP with a performance for the ages, earning him the reputation as a top-five NFL player.

ESPN confirmed that, as they listed Miller fifth on their top 100 NFL players list. Chris Harris Jr. also came in at 44. This comes after DeMarcus Ware, Aqib Talib and Demaryius Thomas all made the top 50.

Jeff Legwold broke down Harris’ spot:

“Versatility sets Harris apart from virtually all of his peers as he is an elite cornerback on the outside and is considered to be the best slot cornerback in the league, according to many personnel executives.”

Miller’s spot is well-deserved, coming in front Ben Roethlisberger, Patrick Peterson, Richard Sherman, Tom Brady, Adrian Peterson, Julio Jones and Cam Newton (we assume Miller’s dominance of the 2015 league MVP had a lot to say in separating them by five spots.)

Legwold talked about Miller’s ranking:

“Miller has speed, quick-twitch athleticism and the flexibility to get under blockers and turn his speed into power to drive blockers backward. And as his postseason run showed, even after 60 sacks in 72 games, he’s still an ascending player.”

Nobody should be surprised with the Broncos who made the list. Emmanuel Sanders was a notable omission, as was C.J. Anderson. But those guys aren’t QUITE top 100 players, but definitely top 120.

Miller is definitely a top-five player, and Harris might be better than what ESPN gave him. Then again, rankings don’t matter. These guys are defending their Super Bowl 50 championship in two weeks. Let’s go.
