TUF Nations Adds Middleweights to Already Announced Welterweight Casting Call

The Ultimate Fighter Nations Debuts on Wednesday Nights in January

Initially announcing a casting call for welterweight fighters, the next international version of The Ultimate Fighter will now be calling for both welterweight and middleweight participants.

UFC Canadian officials recently confirmed the addition of middleweights to the mix after it was announced during Thursday’s Sportsnet360 launch in Canada.

The UFC recently added Canada to next international version of its venerable reality series, announcing TUF Nations: Canada vs. Australia.

Although there are currently few details about the show, TUF Nations features UFC veterans Patrick Cote and Kyle Noke coaching teams of Canadian and Australian fighters, respectively.

Tryouts for TUF Nations: Canada vs. Australia will begin in September. Both countries will host casting opportunities, the first in Sydney and the second in Toronto.

TUF Nations is expected to debut in early 2014. It will air nationally in Canada on Sportsnet and TVA Sports and on FX in Australia. A complete broadcast schedule will be announced at a later date.
