The Texans also released Keith Browner, Jake Byrne, Roc Carmichael, Tyler Clutts Cameron Collins, Andy Cruse, Tyler Horn, Delano Johnson, Dennis Johnson, Orhian Johnson, Chris Jones, Deji Karim, Alex Kupper, Elbert Mack, Nate Menkin, Mike Mohamed, EZ Nwachukwu, Jawanza Starling.
Three other players were placed on injured reserve: Alan Bonner (hamstring), Brennan Williams (knee) and Trevardo Williams.
The team also reached injury settlement releases with Daniel Muir, David Hunter, Mike Smith.
