Sources: Bucks plan to waive Kenyon Martin

After a flurry of trades, the Milwaukee Bucks plan to waive forward Kenyon Martin, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

The Bucks needed to clear a roster spot after deals to acquire guards Michael Carter-Williams and Tyler Ennis and center Miles Plumlee.

Martin, 37, had been signed to consecutive 10-day contracts earlier this season before Milwaukee guaranteed his deal for the season.

Martin had missed five straight games before the All-Star break with an ankle injury. He averaged less than two points and two rebounds in 11 games for Milwaukee. Martin was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2000 NBA draft and has played 15 seasons in the league.
