The San Jose Sharks are trying to capitalize on Brent Burns’ signature toothless look with one of their fan giveaways this year.

On March 12 against the Dallas Stars the team will give fans in attendance a ‘Brent Burns grill.’ The date was listed on the Sharks’ promo schedule, which the organization tweeted out Monday. Here is how the advertisement looks on the team’s website. This will no doubt lead to all sorts of hilarious pictures at SAP Center that night.

Burns once explained to ESPN why he doesn’t wear false front teeth, which had led to the look of him with a mega gap-toothed smile.

You get that big retainer thing, you lose it, it breaks. You can’t eat or drink with it, anyway. I put it in and it’s harder to talk. It’s just more of a pain to have it around. The vanity part I don’t really care about, to be honest. It’s been at least three years since I wore it.

This isn’t the first time the Sharks have tried to capitalize on Burns and his evolution from clean-cut hockey player to toothless Wookiee.

Last season San Jose used a promotion to give fans a ‘Chia Burns,’ which allowed them to grow out the hair and beard to their liking.

The Sharks are bringing back the Chia – for Joe Thornton, whose playoff beard last season arguably eclipsed Burns’. That game is Jan. 21. There’s also a California Golden Seals Throwback T-shirt game on Jan. 7, for fans of the short-lived but much loved Bay Area NHL team.
