Safeties Williams, Mays, Moore fined for hits

Washington Redskins safety Madieu Williams, Cincinnati Bengals safety Taylor Mays and Denver Broncos safety Rahim Moore were each fined $21,000 this week for hits to opposing players' helmets, according to NBC Sports' Pro Football Talk.

Williams' fine came on a helmet-to-helmet hit on New Orleans Saints tight end Jimmy Graham on Sunday. Mays' fine resulted from a helmet-to-helmet hit on Baltimore Ravens tight end Ed Dickson on Monday night. Moore was levied a fine for unnecessarily striking Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders in the head and neck area on Sunday.

The $21,000 fines are the standard amount for hits to the head or neck area of a defenseless receiver, per the NFL's Collective Bargaining Agreement.
