Report: Welker remains sidelined for Sunday's game

Denver Broncos wide receiver Wes Welker will miss a second straight game while he recovers from a concussion, according to a report.

Welker will sit out Sunday's visit to Houston (2-12) while he awaits medical clearance, FOX Sports reported Thursday.

The 32-year-old veteran suffered a concussion -- his second of the season -- on Dec. 8 in a 51-28 victory over the Tennessee Titans and did not play last Thursday in the Broncos' 27-20 loss to the San Diego Chargers. He has not practiced for the past two weeks.

The Broncos continue to list Welker as day to day. Andre Caldwell is expected to start in Welker's slot receiver spot against the Texans.

Welker has 73 receptions for 778 yards and 10 touchdowns this season.
