Report: Steelers lose WR coach to Duke

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receivers coach Scottie Montgomery is leaving to become the offensive coordnator at Duke, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported Friday.

Montgomery came to the Steelers in 2010 from Duke, where he was wide receivers coach for four years. He also played the position for the Blue Devils and is among the school's leading career receivers.

The opening will be the fourth the Steelers have needed to fill since the end of the 2012 season. Coach Mike Tomlin has hired Jack Bicknell Jr. as offensive line coach and Danny Smith as special teams coach. There is one opening on the staff remaining in addition to vacancy created by Montgomery's departure.
