Report: Ravens-Broncos to open season

The Baltimore Ravens will begin their Super Bowl title defense on the field where their 2012 season nearly ended, Sports Authority Field at Mile High, according to multiple reports.

The Ravens prevailed 38-35 over the Broncos in double overtime on Jan. 12 in Denver to advance to the AFC Championship Game and then the Super Bowl. A scheduling conflict with the Baltimore Orioles over shared parking prevented the Ravens from hosting the Sept. 5 kickoff game.

The league will release the 2013 schedule at 8 p.m. ET Thursday.

The game will also be a reunion for linebacker Elvis Dumervil, who left the Broncos after his contract situation with the team unraveled because of an error by his former agent.
