Reports: Knicks acquire Felton, may not match offer for Lin

The New York Knicks have acquired point guard Raymond Felton on Saturday in a sign-and-trade deal with the Portland Trail Blazers that will also bring Kurt Thomas to the Knicks and send Dan Gadzuric and Jared Jeffries to the Blazers, according the multiple media outlets.

The acquisition of Felton suggests the Knicks, who have already signed Jason Kidd, will not match the offer sheet point guard Jeremy Lin signed with Houston. The New York Post reported that the Knicks will not match the offer for Lin, although there are conflicting reports about the Knicks' intentions. Lin, a restricted free agent, signed a three-year, $25.1 million deal with Houston.

Felton signed a three-year deal worth about $10 million, according to Yahoo! Sports.com.

Felton, a restricted free agent, averaged 11.4 points and 6.5 assists for Portland this past season.

The Knicks also confirmed Saturday they have decided not to match the Toronto Raptors' three-year offer sheet to guard Landry Fields. That deal approaches $20 million, ESPN.com reported.
