Report: Jets' Revis stunned by GM's trade talk

New York Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis reportedly said he was stunned that new Jets general manager John Idzik did not dismiss trade rumors involving Revis on Idzik's first day as GM.

According to ESPNNewYork.com, Revis made his feelings felt during an interview with the NFL Network that was scheduled to air Monday night.

"I was speechless; I tweeted it out I was speechless," Revis told NFL Network of learning of Idzik's comments. "I was speechless because I didn't get a phone call. I know it's a business, just call me, don't have it lingering out there. I need answers and I'm not getting any."

"Just the fact that that was put out there instead of contacting your best player on the team. If that's how you want to do business, then that's fine."

Revis tore his ACL in the third quarter of an overtime win in Miami in September, and Antonio Cromartie played well in Revis' absence.

Revis has a year left on his contract, but the Jets have salary cap issues and may cut some veteran players.

According to ProFootballTalk.com, Revis has a sense that owner Woody Johnson might be behind the Jets' interest in trading Revis, and Revis thinks Johnson may not want to pay him.

"That might be a situation," Revis said, according to the report. "That might be something."
