Report: Darius Slay has knee scope
When the Detroit Lions drafted cornerback Darius Slay in the second round, some speculated he had a small fall in the draft because of a minor knee injury.
Slay suffered a torn meniscus but the team and player said he would not need surgery.
That has changed. Adam Schefter of ESPN reports Slay underwent arthroscopic knee surgery last Friday. That means the Mississippi State product will not participate in rookie minicamp this coming weekend. But Slay should be healthy and cleared well in advance of training camp.
