Redskins OT Brown doesn't need surgery

Redskins right tackle Jammal Brown is on the physically unable to perform list with lingering issues with his hip, but he's not expected to need surgery.

An MRI revealed no structural damage, according to the Washington Post. Brown, who had hip surgery in 2009, will be treated for inflammation.

While Brown is sidelined, Tyler Polumbus is practicing with the frst team. The Redskins also have Maurice Hurt and Willie Smith on the roster and signed veteran Jordan Black this week.
