Redskins Crushed by Giants, 45-14
The Redskins were crushed by the Giants, 45-14, at home.
Kirk Cousins completed 19 of 33 passes for 257 yards, one touchdown, four picks and one fumble. Eli Manning was more productive for the Giants, and finished 28 for 39 with 300 yards passing, five touchdowns (4 pass, 1 rush) and one pick.
Alfred Morris was a standout player for the Redskins, rushing for 63 yards on 12 attempts with a touchdown and had three receptions for 27 yards. Niles Paul snagged three passes for 60 yards.
The Washington defense gave up 154 yards rushing and 300 passing. They tackled Manning for a sack.
Giants tight end Larry Donnell was impressive, racking up 54 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Wide receiver Victor Cruz also put together a noteworthy performance with 108 receiving yards.
Next week, the Redskins host the Seahawks (2-1) while the Giants take on the Falcons (2-1), also at home.
