RB Jackson probable, WR White out for Falcons

Running back Steven Jackson practiced again Friday and is listed as probable for the Atlanta Falcons' game at Arizona on Sunday after missing five weeks with a hamstring injury.

Wide receiver Roddy White has been ruled out for the second consecutive week with ankle and hamstring injuries.

Atlanta's ground game has suffered with Jackson sidelined, including managing just 18 yards on 18 carries against Tampa Bay last weekend. Jackson's return is particularly welcomed with Jason Snelling sidelined by an ankle injury.

"I just have to get my bearings again and get back to the flow of the game, the speed of the game. Looking to continue to heal over the next few days until Sunday," Jackson said Friday, per the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. "We always talked before about being a balanced offense, so we want to continue to make sure we get the running game fixed. ...We need to keep the defense honest more than anything."

How big a workload Jackson takes on Sunday remains to be seen as he attempts to be smart and avoid a setback.

"The confidence in the leg has to continue to grow," he said. "Make sure that I'm not compromising and over compensating for the injury. Just continue to make sure I am able to help the team and not hurt them and able to give them 100 percent."

Cornerback Robert Alford (ankle), defensive tackle Corey Peters (shoulder) and tight end Chase Coffman (knee) are also listed as probable.

Linebacker Stephen Nicholas (thigh) has been ruled out.
