Ravens 33, Giants 14

BALTIMORE -- Joe Flacco threw for 309 yards and accounted for three touchdowns, and the Baltimore Ravens set a season high with 533 total yards in a 33-14 rout of the New York Giants on Sunday.

With the win, the Ravens clinched the AFC North title for the third straight year.

The Giants dropped their second straight game, another blow to their playoff hopes. The defending Super Bowl champions must beat the Eagles next week and get some help in order to earn a postseason berth.

Over their two-game slide, the Giants have been outscored 77-14.

Four Ravens had at least 50 receiving yards, led by wide receiver Anquan Boldin, who had seven catches for 93 yards. Torrey Smith added 88 yards and a touchdown, and running back Ray Rice had 158 total yards from scrimmage and a score.

Rookie running back Bernard Pierce put up a career-high 123 rushing yards for the Ravens, who had 224 yards on the ground.

A week after allowing 34 points in a blowout loss to the Broncos, the Ravens held the Giants to 186 total yards and 2-of-10 on third downs.

Eli Manning went 14-for-28 for 150 yards and a touchdown, and Reuben Randle led the Giants with 43 receiving yards.

The Ravens opened the scoring midway through the first quarter, with Flacco finding Smith for a six-yard touchdown pass on Baltimore's opening drive of the game. It was Smith's eighth touchdown of the season and his first since Nov. 11 against the Raiders.

A 43-yard Smith reception on the Ravens' next possession put the ball on the Giants' 1-yard line, and two plays later, Flacco scored on a quarterback sneak to give Baltimore an early 14-0 lead.

David Wilson cut that lead in half less than three minutes after the Flacco touchdown, scampering for a 14-yard touchdown that made it 14-7.

The Ravens then ran off 10 unanswered points to close the half, with Justin Tucker booting a 23-yard field goal and Rice adding a 27-yard touchdown catch to make it 24-7 at the break.

Notes: Flacco has 3,783 passing yards on the season, already a new career high. His previous career best was 3,622 yards, set back in 2010. ... The Giants played without Pro Bowl defensive end Justin Tuck, who missed the game with a shoulder injury. ... With Sunday's output, the Ravens broke a team record for most points scored at home in a single season. With their Week 17 game in Cincinnati, they'll finish the 2012 season having put up 254 points at home, topping their previous high, set in 2009, in which they scored 230 points at M&T Bank Stadium.
