Rams' Jared Goff throws his first NFL touchdown

No. 1 pick Jared Goff made his first NFL start last week, against the Miami Dolphins, and as debuts go, it was meh.

But he was back at it in Week 12 against the New Orleans Saints, and hit a milestone he didn’t last week. Goff recorded his first touchdown pass, and it was pretty too – a 24-yard over-the-shoulder rainbow to Tavon Austin, the perfect ending to the Los Angeles Rams’ first possession of the game.

Goff sprinted down the field after the pass to celebrate with Austin and his teammates. He would go on to throw two more touchdowns in the first half before finishing 20 of 32 for 214 yards with the three TDs and one interception.

On the other end of the experience spectrum was the quarterback on the other sideline from Goff on Sunday: Saints starter Drew Brees. Brees came into the game with 454 career touchdown passes and threw four more, leading New Orleans to a 49-21 victory over Goff and the Rams.
