QB Flynn in for Packers

Matt Flynn replaced Scott Tolzien at quarterback for the Green Bay Packers with 8:22 remaining in the third quarter of Sunday's game at Lambeau Field.

Flynn entered with the Packers sputtering on offense, trailing 20-7 following Minnesota Vikings fullback Rhett Ellison's 7-yard touchdown catch from Christian Ponder.

Flynn completed his first pass, a nine-yard gain, to tight end Andrew Quarless. But after running back James Starks' 34-yard burst, Green Bay's drive stalled and the Packers punted the ball back to the Vikings.

Tolzien was 7 or 17 for 98 yards when he was pulled in favor of Flynn.

Tolzien was starting his second career game since starter Aaron Rodgers (collarbone) and backup Seneca Wallace (groin) suffered injuries in consecutive games.
