Packers Acquire Knile Davis from Chiefs
Coming off of a disappointing loss to the Cowboys, the Packers traded for Chiefs running back Knile Davis early on Tuesday. With the injury to Starks and the inconsistent backfield play from Ty Montgomery, Davis adds some much needed depth the Packers backfield. There was a tweet sent out by the official Packers account hinting that Knile Davis might take over the role of kick returner, an interesting decision considering Montgomery has performed well in that function this year.
Ron Zook on Knile Davis at KR: He's got some natural ability. Always a guy we were concerned about when we were playing against him.

Green Bay will probably give one more work in the backfield and the other kick return duties, but as of yet it we don’t know for sure how this is going to impact Montgomery’s role on the team. Davis is working to learn the Packers playbook and will probably play some snaps this Thursday in the game against the Bears.
