Dec 15 (The Sports Xchange) - The Arizona Coyotes will be without goaltender Mike Smith for eight to 10 weeks after surgery on Tuesday for a core muscle injury. Smith, a Vezina Trophy finalist in 2011-12 when the Coyotes reached the Western Conference finals, has a 10-9-1 record with a 3.06 goals-against average and .901 save percentage in 22 games this season. - - Pittsburgh Penguins goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury will be out a minimum of one to two weeks after he was diagnosed with a concussion. Fleury complained about not feeling well after Monday night's 4-1 loss to the Washington Capitals. In 25 games this season, Fleury has posted a 13-10-2 record with a .925 save percentage and a 2.29 goals-against average. - - Veteran forward Jarret Stoll was claimed off waivers by the Minnesota Wild. He scored just three points in 29 games with the New York Rangers, who waived him this week to add rookie defenseman Brady Skjei. - - The Florida Panthers sent struggling center Dave Bolland to the minor leagues on a conditioning assignment and recalled forward Rocco Grimaldi. The 29-year-old Bolland, who is the Panthers' highest-paid forward at $5.5 million per season, has one goal and five points and averaged only 14:06 in ice time in 25 games for the Panthers this year. - - Zack Kassian entered the follow-up phase of the Substance Abuse and Behavioral Health Program, the NHL and its Players' Association announced, and then waived by the Montreal Canadiens. Kassian, 24, was admitted to Stage 2 of the program and suspended without pay prior to the start of the regular season. He was as passenger in a car accident that left him with a fractured left foot and a broken nose. - - Forward Barclay Goodrow was recalled from the San Jose Barracuda of the American Hockey League and rejoined the Sharks. Goodrow, 22, has three assists in 12 games with the Sharks this season, and posted four goals and 11 assists in 72 career NHL games with the team. (Editing by Frank Pingue)
