NHL announces conference finals schedules

With one game remaining in the conference semifinals, the NHL announced the schedules for the Eastern and Western Conference finals Tuesday night.

In the East, the Boston Bruins play Game 1 against the Penguins in Pittsburgh on Saturday. Game 2 is in Pittsburgh on Monday. The series shifts to Boston for games June 5 and June 7.

Should the series be extended, Game 5 would be in Pittsburgh on June 9, Game 6 in Boston on June 11, and Game 7 in Pittsburgh on June 12.

The date of Game 1 of the Western Conference finals depends on the winner of Wednesday's Game 7 of the semifinals between the Detroit Red Wings and Chicago Blackhawks. Should the visiting Red Wings prevail, they'd play at Los Angeles against the Kings on Friday. Should the Blackhawks win Wednesday, they'd play host to the Kings on Saturday.

Game 2 will be Sunday at the same site as Game 1. The next two games will be June 4 and June 6, either Blackhawks at Kings or Kings at Red Wings. The final three dates for the Western Conference title series are June 8, June 10 and June 12, if necessary.

The defending champion Kings beat the San Jose Sharks 2-1 Tuesday in Game 7 of the Western Conference semifinals.
