Morrow played sparingly for the Dallas Mavericks last season, averaging career-lows of 2.3 points and 20 percent 3-point shooting from the field in 17 games. The six-year NBA veteran shot better than 42 percent from 3-point range in each of the first three years of his career.

Morrow will receive the veteran's minimum salary with a player's option on the second season of his contract. The Hornets have had a strong offseason in which they have agreed on deals to acquire All-Star point guard Jrue Holiday and forward Tyreke Evans in trades.

Free agents can officially sign contracts on Wednesday.
