Reserve guard Jasmine Thomas hit a 3-pointer and Monique Currie added two free throws in the final 16.9 seconds of overtime to lift the Washington Mystics to a 75-71 WNBA victory over Chicago on Sunday afternoon at the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C.

Thomas' 3 pointer gave the Mystics (5-16) the lead for good in overtime as they snapped a two-game losing streak and improved to 4-7 at home.

Washington's Matee Ajavon scored a game-high 22 points, including a 3-pointer with 1.9 seconds left in regulation that forced a 62-62 tie.

The Sky (8-11) dropped their sixth straight game and 10th in their last 11 games.

For Chicago, Epiphanny Prince scored 18 points, Sylvia Fowles had 13 more plus 12 rebounds while Swin Cash and Le'Coe Willingham added 12 and 11 points, respectively. Chicago shot only 25-of-57 from the field (37.3 percent) and just 3-of-18 on 3 point tries (16.7 percent)

Trailing 55-46 with 8 minutes, 20 seconds left in regulation, the Sky rallied over the next 5:32 and claimed the lead at 58-57 on a Prince jumper. Cash extended the lead to 60-57 with a jumper with 1:48 showing.

But Ajavon's running shot with 57 seconds left cut the deficit to 60-59. After Prince hit two free throws with 10.2 seconds remaining, Ajavon tied the game with her late 3 pointer.
