Miroslav Raduljica signs one-year deal with Chinese team

After Jordan Crawford reportedly signed with a Chinese team this week, it looks like Miroslav Raduljica is right behind him. Despite being the second leading scorer on the silver medal winning Serbian team at the FIBA World CUp, Raduljica hasn't had enough interest from NBA teams to keep him over here to start this season.

Shams Charania of RealGM is reporting that Raduljica has signed a one-year deal with the Shandong Lions of the Chinese Basketball Association. Charania says the Spurs and 76ers had been interested in Raduljica at one point, but the offer from Shandong materialized Thursday night and he took it. The Chinese season ends in February and Raduljica will be available for an NBA team to sign then.

Free agent seven-footer Miroslav Raduljica has signed a one-year contract with Shandong of the Chinese Basketball Association, sources told RealGM.

Raduljica had interest from several NBA teams, including the San Antonio Spurs and Philadelphia 76ers, as well as discussions in Europe. With Gustavo Ayon leaning toward a deal in the European League, a lucrative offer in China formalized for Raduljica on Thursday night. Raduljica will become available in NBA free agency when his Chinese season ends in February.

Raduljica confirmed the next step in his career via Twitter.

The 26-year old center signed with the Milwaukee Bucks in 2013 for a three-year, $4.5 million deal. In a salary dump move by the Los Angeles Clippers this summer, they acquired Raduljica and Carlos Delfino from the Bucks before waiving both players and their non-guaranteed contracts. That left Raduljica searching for a team in free agency.

In 48 games with the Bucks last season, the Serbian center averaged 3.8 points and 2.3 rebounds in 9.7 minutes of play. In nine games for the Serbian team this summer, Raduljica averaged 13.0 points and 4.6 rebounds in 21.4 minutes.
