Meyer: Blue not welcome at Ohio State

Ohio State coach Urban Meyer does not allow visitors to wear blue at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center because it is one of the colors worn by chief rival Michigan.

NFL scouts are no exception to Meyer's rule.

FoxSportsOhio.com reported that at least two scouts visiting Buckeyes practice earlier this month were given Ohio State shirts to wear over their blue ones.

Meyer's message was even passed through players, which some of them yelled at the scouts that blue was not a kosher color on the Ohio State campus.

One NFC team scout who saw the incident said it was "embarrassing." Another scout who was not there but has visited Ohio State practice this month said: "It's just not something that needed to happen. It could have been handled much better, and if that (blue shirt) rule is going to be enforced, they could let us know."
