The Tigers already landed the consensus No. 1 senior player in the country in Ben Simmons.

Add in Oak Ridge (Orlando, Fla.) 6-foot-4 shooting guard Antonio Blakeney and Johnny Jones suddenly has two probable NBA players starring on either wing.

Blakeney leads the state of Florida in scoring at 31.7 points per game, which is impressive enough. But he also made 249 of 452 shots for an impressive 55 percent. He also made 48 percent of his three-pointers, 86 of 180 — and he shot 82 percent from the free throw line.

No wonder why he is a McDonald's All-American.

He's the No. 16 recruit in the country, according to 247Sports, and he passed up offers from Kentucky, Missouri, Louisville and Auburn, among others, to play at LSU.

Blakeney committed to the Tigers on Jan. 2.

If anyone wondered if Blakeney did his work during the offseason, he answered immediately by scoring a career-high 63 points while making 11-of-15 3-pointers in an 85-84 win over Liberty Christian Prep to start the season.

Blakeney also averaged 6.9 rebounds per game this season.

He'll play on the East Squad, which is coached by Bruce Kelley of Bullis (Patomac, Md.). He'll likely be playing side-by-side with Simmons.

The 38th-annual McDonald's All-American Game for the boys and the 14th annual game for the girls takes place April 1 at the United Center in Chicago. Host Chris Stonebraker and senior writer Mitch Stephens will be on hand in the Windy City to bring you all the action, fun and inside scoop.
