Lions Pick Up 34-17 Win Over Bears

Matthew Stafford had a big day through the air, leading the way to a solid victory for the Lions over the Bears, 34-17, at home.

Stafford had a respectable 34 of 45 performance with 390 yards passing, two touchdowns and one fumble. In comparison, Jay Cutler went 31 of 48 with 280 yards passing, two touchdowns and two picks for the Bears.

Joique Bell was a standout player for the Lions, rushing for 91 yards on 23 attempts with two touchdowns while adding two receptions for 16 yards. Calvin Johnson was a weapon for the offense, catching 11 passes for 146 yards with two touchdowns.

The Detroit defense was the difference in the victory, giving up 13 yards rushing and 280 passing. They brought down Cutler for three sacks.

Bears tight end Martellus Bennett provided some spark with 109 receiving yards. Wide receiver Alshon Jeffery had a good game as well with 71 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

The Lions host the Buccaneers (2-9) next week while the Bears take on the Cowboys (8-3), also at home.
