John Daly didn’t have a good day on Sunday, and it ended with him pulling out of the PGA Tour Champions’ first full-field event of the year and with his putter at the bottom of a lake.

According to Links Magazine, Daly withdrew from the Allianz Championship on the seventh hole of Sunday’s final round, citing an issue with his Sciatic nerve. On his way to the exits from Broken Sound Country Club, Daly threw his putter in a water hazard behind the seventh green on the Old Course.

The two-time major winner didn’t offer a comment on the withdrawal or his putter hurl.

Throwing clubs isn’t something wholly out of the ordinary for Daly. In fact, at the 2015 PGA Championship at Whistling Straits, Daly threw an iron into Lake Michigan after a poor tee shot to a par 3.

Since making his PGA Tour Champions debut in May after turning 50, Daly is yet to post a top-10 finish in an official event.
