Jeremy Guthrie gets back on track with a gem vs. Boston
Royals pitcher Jeremy Guthrie bounced back with a gem Saturday night at home against the Red Sox, improving to 11-11 on the year. He allowed one unearned run on three hits and three hits and one walk while striking out two over eight innings of a 7-1 victory.
Guthrie has allowed only one run or fewer in three of his last five starts. He owns a 4.35 ERA and a 1.32 WHIP over 30 starts (190 1/3 innings). His next start will come Friday at home against Detroit.
