Jason LaCanfora: Several notable veterans could be released
The release of Bengals former featured back BenJarvus Green-Ellis is not the only significant move that will be made by NFL teams involving veterans, per CBSSports.com NFL Insider Jason La Canfora.
La Canfora is speculating that the Browns could part with Nate Burleson and that the Jets might let go of fellow wide receiver Stephen Hill. The former has been limited by injury in the preseason while the latter has proven disappointing throughout his young career.
Also on the bubble, according to La Canfora, is Patriots backup quarterback Ryan Mallett, though he is likely to stay because of the team's possible decision to keep three players at that position.
