Jason goes on concussion DL

The Oakland Athletics placed catcher John Jaso on the seven-day concussion disabled list after taking foul balls of his mask the past two days.

Jaso's vision was normal in tests, according to a report by MLB.com, but he was still experiencing dizziness on Thursday and the team decided to make the roster move as a precaution.

Derek Norris will be the catcher until Jaso returns. The A's placed Stephen Vogt on the active roster, taking Jaso's spot.

Jaso is batting .271 with three home runs adn 21 RBIs in 70 games this season.
