Jaguars put Jones-Drew on IR
The Jacksonville Jaguars placed running back Maurice Jones-Drew on injured reserve and signed rookie defensive tackle Jerome Long from Kansas City's practice squad on Friday.
Jones-Drew, who held out during the summer in an attempt to gain a new contract, has missed nine games since he suffered a left foot injury in a game at Oakland on Oct. 21. He finished the season with 414 rushing in six games.
Long was a seventh-round draft pick by the Chiefs in 2012 and spent the first 15 games on their practice squad.
