As is tradition, you can’t have a special event game in the NHL without the jerseys leaking weeks ahead of time.

Most recently, we got a peek at the Chicago Blackhawks and St. Louis Blues Winter Classic jerseys before the teams officially unveiled them on Wednesday.

Next up in the leak department is the jersey the Toronto Maple Leafs will sport when they host the Detroit Red Wings during the January 1 Centennial Classic at BMO Field. The great SportsLogos.net got an early peek at them.

The silver mixed with the white stripes and blue comes off sharp in my opinion. It’s also nice to see a fresh creative design for a jersey for one of these outdoor games. (Looking at you, Chicago Blackhawks.)

As Chris Creamer notes, that’s an infant jersey, so not all the details can be found on it. Here’s a closer look at an adult size that includes the collar laces:

The Leafs last wore a horizontal stripe like that when they were the St. Pats, and the Centennial Classic will be close to the 90th anniversary of the first meeting between the St. Pats and Detroit Cougars.

Toronto will wear the St. Pats jerseys on March 18 for their game against the Blackhawks.
