Injury Roundup: Week 9

Evan Silva breaks down every fantasy option in every Week 8 game

Week 9 of the NFL had quite a few injuries, but none scarier than Texans’ coach Gary Kubiak collapsing as he walked toward the locker room at half time of Sunday night's game against the Colts. He was then taken to the hospital, but thankfully the Texans said he was taken in for "precautionary" reasons, never lost consciousness and that he did not have a heart attack. I’m sure we will learn more after tests are run, but thankfully the initial reports are promising.

Let’s hope for more promising news on Kubiak and the rest of Sunday’s walking wounded.

Editor's Note: Rotoworld's partner FanDuel is hosting a one-week $300,000 Fantasy Football league for Week 10. It's $25 to join and first prize is $25,000. Starts Sunday at 1pm ET. Here's the link.

Darren McFadden left the Eagles’ game with a hamstring pull. He says the injury is in the same spot as his Week 4 hamstring pull, which is bad news. He will most likely need to miss a game or more to recover. Rashad Jennings totaled 176 yards in garbage time and will be worth a pick up.

Arian Foster left the Sunday night game after one target. He injured his back, which had been a problem in preseason. He had a hamstring injury coming into the game so they shut him down quickly. Ben Tate had 22 carries for 88 yards in relief, but did look stiff carrying around his multiple cracked ribs. Dennis Johnson is third in line at running back.

On the first possession of the game Darren Sproles caught a two-yard pass and was hit hard by safety Antonio Allen. He left the game with a concussion. Pierre Thomas played well with him out, catching seven passes for 66 yards and would continue to be the main passing back if Sproles can’t come back for the Dallas game next week.

Terrelle Pryor left the Eagles game with a knee injury. The Raiders were losing 49-13 at the time so he didn’t return to the game. Pryor says he left for precautionary reasons and he looked to be walking without a hitch. Matt McGloin came in and completed 7-of-15 passes for 87 yards in super extra garbage time.

Jeremy Kerley’s left elbow injury appears to be serious. New York Daily News' Manish Mehta reports Kerley may have an elbow subluxation, or a dislocation. David Nelson would most likely see a big bump in snaps if Kerley were out for a while.

Kyle Rudolph had to leave the game against Dallas in the third quarter with a foot injury after he scored a 31-yard touchdown. X-rays were negative, but he’ll have a MRI to see the true extent of the injury.

Bills wide receiver Robert Woods couldn’t put any weight on his left leg after the game. X-rays came back negative, but they’ll have to take more tests to know the exact nature of the injury.

Darrius Heyward-Bey left the Sunday night game with a possible concussion. LaVon Brazill saw more work in his absence.

Marquise Goodwin pulled up with a hamstring injury late in the fourth quarter against Kansas City. With Robert Woods also hurting, the Bills receivers are looking thin.
