Indians extend triple-A contract with Columbus
The Cleveland Indians announced Monday a two-year extension of their player development contract with triple-A Columbus that will run through the 2016 season.
"The Clippers are a first-class organization that provides our players and staff with a major league-caliber operation and facility," Indians general manager Chris Antonetti said. "We look forward to continuing this unique opportunity of developing our upper-level prospects in the heart of our regional fan base."
Columbus is two hours from Cleveland and the triple-A club plays in 4-year-old Huntington Park.
