Guards Loper, Dockery join Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys agreed to terms with offensive guards Daniel Loper and Derrick Dockery on Friday, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

Loper, 30, was a fifth-round pick of the Tennessee Titans in 2005 and was on the Cowboys roster in 2011, but did not play.

Dockery, 31, started twice for the Cowboys last year and could start this year. He was at one time one of the highest paid guards in the NFL, according to NBC Sports' Pro Football Talk. His playing time is contingent on the health of Mackenzy Bernadeau and Nate Livings.

Tight end John Nalbone was waived and wide receiver Cole Beasley will be placed on the reserve/left squad list to make room for Loper and Dockery.
