Grizzlies acquire Pittman from Heat for Sanchez' draft rights

The Memphis Grizzlies acquired center Dexter Pittman and a second-round draft pick from the Miami Heat for the draft rights to Ricky Sanchez, Grizzlies General Manager and Vice President of Basketball Operations Chris Wallace announced Thursday.

Pittman, 24, is averaging 12.4 points, 8.8 rebounds and 1.67 blocks in 24.9 minutes in 15 games this year for the NBA Development League's Sioux Falls Skyforce. Drafted by Miami in the second round in 2010, he has played in 41 career games, with six starts.

Sanchez, 25, is a member of the Libertad Sunchales in Argentina. He was a 2005 second-round selection by Portland, but Memphis acquired his draft rights from the Philadelphia 76ers in March 2012.
