Goran Dragic, Eric Bledsoe carry Suns over Lakers

The Phoenix Suns had a strong shooting performance from the field in this one, going 44-87 (50.6%), to take down the Los Angeles Lakers, 116-107. Phoenix (18-14) has now won six consecutive games, dating back to a 111-106 victory over the Charlotte Bobcats on December 17th.

Goran Dragic scored 24 points on 9-16 shooting, including 4-6 on 3-point attempts, in a quality offensive outing. Phoenix also got solid performances from Eric Bledsoe with 22 points and eight rebounds, and Markieff Morris with 12 points and seven rebounds. On 7-15 shooting, including 4-6 from behind the arc, Nick Young put up 21 points off the bench for Los Angeles in the loss. Kobe Bryant added 10 points and eight rebounds.

Along with their eFG% of 55.7%, the Suns connected at a rate of 40.9% from 3-point range. On the season, they are 8-2 when they record marks above 55% and 40% in those respective categories. Conversely, the Lakers are winless (0-8) when allowing their opponents to reach those percentages.

Los Angeles (9-22) has now lost three straight games.
